Weathering The Storm

“There’s always another storm. It’s the way the world works. Snowstorms, rainstorms, windstorms, sandstorms, and firestorms. Some are fierce and others are small. You have to deal with each one separately, but you need to keep an eye on whats brewing for tomorrow.”

Life can often feel stormy, and certainly unpredictable. You have your entire weekend planned out, and suddenly something comes spiraling out of nowhere. Sometimes we have to trust these moments when it snow in the desert. If we took the time to observe our natural surroundings we would see that it takes a single tree years and years to grow an mature, and that single tree could break in a storm, or stand tall and just lose one branch. But eventually, that single tree will regenerate and grow again. Many things in life happen to us unpredictably. They come out of nowhere at times, but they help us. They create us, and shape our path. Even small occurrences can change an entire pattern of our path. We must stay flexible in our plans, and we must learn that we don’t need to understand everything as a whole. We don’t have to be prepared for these unpredictable storms, because eventually we will regenerate.

  1. Wonderful post. It is the storm that changes our path. It’s how we respond to the new road that shapes us. Sometimes, unpredictability can be exciting, bringing us places where we may not have traveled to.

  2. Beautiful! Definitely hits the spot! I am constantly learning to be more flexible, and actually the last time my weekend plans went to beats, I made the most of it and had a blast. As Dannii said, these storms really make us who we are! ❤ xoxo

  3. You never know what life is going to throw at you, look at what happened to me 8 months ago and what happened to you recently too. Funny thing is, despite the heartache and pain I’ve dealt with over these months, it’s turning out to be a fabulous summer!
