Sometimes we live our lives like puzzle pieces turned upside down – only showing the world our gray sides. Then along comes life, and it starts flipping them over, showing to us and the world more than just the outline of who we are – it shows us the colors. If we can start to turn more over and put them together, we can see the picture of who we really are emerge.
I’ve thought time and time again about the things I post as being a reflection of me. Although we have not yet met, some how there is a strange connection between reading these blogs, and knowing the person behind them. I thought of listing things you don’t know about me, but then I realized that you don’t need to see my driver license to know me. You know what’s deep down inside of me, and you see my depth daily. It is these blogs and you, who help me turn my gray puzzle pieces around. Your understanding, your caring souls, and your inspiring stories. I am grateful for each and every one of you who take the time to read, and I am so thankful to have you in my life. You are just as important as the friends I text daily, and I hope that in return I give you half of what you’ve given me!
I’m back!!!! Life is not always peaches and creme, and I think we often forget about the struggles in life until we are completely submerged in them. People tend to just want to open up on good days, when they have a great long workout, or they had a great day at work. Well I’m here to be real! I have been handed not the greatest set of cards this past week, but it inspired me to come here and motivate you. When things are going so good for us, we forget to help others who are suffering, or we just become so wrapped up in the moment we don’t share it. We hold it to ourselves. I think about the challenges I am facing, and although they seem unbearable, and endless at times, if I really had to trade with someone else, I wouldn’t. We really don’t know what other cards people hold. So find the strength in bad times, and find the greatness in good times. My challenge to you today is to reach out your hand to someone who needs you! If you are having a great day, be thankful for it! But most importantly, be thankful in all circumstances!
The feeling of “stuck” is something which most of us face daily. Stuck in a job we dislike, stuck in a relationship, stuck in a financial situation, stuck in a way of living, stuck with a bad medical history/report, or stuck with a bad self image. We wake up every morning with this weight already on our shoulders, and some how we manage to plaster on a smile, but really what else can we do? Although you may feel stuck, and the solution seems very far away, there is something you can do. You can wake up every morning, and be thankful you have a job to go to, a paycheck to collect, or although you may not be completely healthy, you still have another day to find a solution. We can’t pause our lives, we can’t rewind, and we can’t fast forward to see if we make the right decisions. All we can do is wake up, and have right now. Sometimes you just have to embrace the chaos, plaster that smile on, and look at yourself in the mirror and just say ” This is going to be a GREAT day.” Choose this day to get yourself “unstuck”, not by changing any of your situations, but by changing your approach. Be thankful, and choose a positive mind set. You will find that even in chaos, greatness lies ahead. Continue to push yourself to that better self image, to a better stronger, more powerful, YOU!
